Procurement News Update - September 2011
The procurement is nearing the final stages. By 16th September the four remaining bidders must have submitted their responses to our formal Invitation To Tender. Northern Grid and its technical advisers will review the submissions and carry out a full analysis. On October 17th, we expect to identify the preferred provider who will be invited to enter into a contract with Northern Grid to provide broadband connectivity for our schools in the North East region.
After October half term, we will be able to provide schools with full details of broadband options and prices. We will contact each school individually and post some information on the Northern Grid website. However, as pricing will be commercially confidential, Northern Grid will provide costs direct to schools.
